311 Maximum Demand and Diversity<\/p>\n

Regulation 311.1 …….. In determining the maximum demand of an installation diversity may be taken into account.<\/p>\n

What this means is that not\u00a0everything will be switched on at the same time and we can make allowances for that.<\/p>\n

Domestic installations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applying diversity to the maximum load (Amps)<\/p>\n

Lighting: 66%
\nHeating: 100% of total up to 10A and 50% of all above
\nCooking: 10A\u00a0+ 30% of cooker full load above 10A\u00a0and +\u00a05A if there is a cooker socket
\nWater Heaters: (Instant – eg. showers)\u00a0100% of largest + 100% second largest + 25% of remaining
\nWater Heaters: (Immersion cylinder) 100%
\nFloor: 100%
\nStorage Heaters: 100%
\nSockets: 100% of largest appliance + 40%\u00a0at every other point<\/p>\n
