Q: Is this an approved qualification and will I get a certificate?
A: Yes, we are an approved City & Guilds centre and you will be taking the City & Guilds 2382-22 exam and will receive a City & Guilds certificate on successful completion of the exam through us.

Q: How does the at-home City & Guilds exam work?
A: You can sit the City & Guilds 2382-22, 18th Edition exam remotely in the comfort of you own home, work etc under remote invigilation provided by City & Guilds. You just need a location where you are alone and will not be disturbed during your exam. You will also need a Windows PC or laptop, a web camera and microphone, internet connection and have the Google Chrome web browser installed.

Q: Will I need the 18th Edition book?
A: Yes, the 18th Edition exam is an open book exam and you will need a copy of the current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - BS7671:2018+A2:2022 for the course and exam. If you don't have the book you can order it as part of your course and save over £20.00 off the cost from booksellers.

Q: If I don't want to take the exam at-home. Where are your UK in-Centre exam venues?
A: 'Subject to availability'. Aberdeen, Glasgow, Stockton-On-Tees, Kendal, Bradford, Wigan, Manchester (multiple venues), Scunthorpe, Middlesbrough, Nottingham, Birmingham, Hull, Ipswich, Aylesbury, Harlow, London (multiple venues), Rochester, Edenbridge, Basingstoke, Southampton, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth

Q: How long will it take to finish the course?
A: It's up to you, it could be completed in 3 - 4 days. But, depending on your experience with the Wiring Regulations, it usually takes our students on average 2 weeks to 3 months to complete all of the course materials in their spare time and be prepared for the City & Guilds exam.

Q: How long do I have access to the my course?
A: You will have access to your course for up to one year or until you pass your exam, whichever comes first. During your course you can go over any session as many times as you wish. And after you have passed your exam we will upgrade you to our Exam Passer option which will give you free access to the additional introduction to inspection & testing and the C&G 2393-10 courses as well as lifetime 18th Edition updates.

Q: Do I need to attend any in-person classes?
A: No, your 18th Edition online training course and materials are available online and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. There are no in-person classes required for this course.

Q: Is there a guaranteed pass?
A: We cannot guarantee that you will pass your exam, as this depends on the amount of time and effort that you put into studying. However, we have a proud record of helping hundreds of students successfully pass their City & Guilds exam. We offer a free resit to anyone completing the course and doesn't pass their exam first time.

Q: How quickly can I take my exam and when?
To allow time to organise your remote exam City & Guilds state that all remote at-home exams must be booked ten days in advance. Exams slots are available Monday to Friday at 8.00 am, 11.30 am and 4.00 pm and you can choose a day and time that suits you best.

Q: What if I need more help or support with my studies?
A: If anytime during your course you feel stuck or have a question on any particular regulation contact your tutor 7 days a week via e-mail or free by phone during the week and I will more than happy to help you.

Q: I don't have the 17th Edition qualification, is this course suitable for me?
A: Yes, there are no formal entry requirements for our 18th Edition online course and as such, it is suitable for those who may be new to the industry as well as those in the industry who need to update their qualifications. Upon successful completion of the C&G exam, you will receive a C&G 2382-22 certificate for the 18th Edition.

Q: Does this online course include the new Amendment 2 to the 18th Edition?
A: Yes, this course is fully up to date with all of the changes that have been introduced to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018 which are, Amendment 1 (2020) and the newly released Amendment 2 (2022). It is based on the current version - BS7671:2018+A2:2022 which is available with your course, saving you +£20.00.

Q: What happens if I don't pass my exam?
A: We have a high +97% pass rate with students who have completed their 18th Edition online course and exam with us over last five years. But, if you complete your training and fail to pass your exam we will continue to provide you with training and support and will pay for your exam resit.
