So, to be an electrician these days takes more than being able to wire a two way lighting circuit or just having the 17th Edition City & Guilds 2382-15 exam. You need to be aware of and comply with any other applicable statutory regulations, ignorance is never an excuse.
Demonstrating competence in all of these things is vitally important especially if you are a one man band or wishing to be a Qualifying Supervisor for a larger company and can be done through training and qualifications.
The City & Guilds 2393-10 is a Level 3 Certificate in the Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings to enable practising electricians, working in the domestic environment, to gain an understanding of how to comply with all relevant Building Regulations.
